Intel sta collaborando con Google per la realizzazione di Google Chrome OS , di modo che sia compatibile sia in àmbito PC e notebook, sia in àmbito netbook.
Inoltre, Intel sta sviluppando Moblin (nome in codice, non definitivo), un nuovo sistema operativo Linux-based .

Il nuovo Sistema Operativo di Google è ancora in fase di sviluppo, ma diverse aziende del mondo dell’elettronica - Adobe, ASUS, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments and Toshiba - are working together.
